Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
