I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
